Fat vs Sugar

I just want to start a conversation here. I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately on nutrition and as much as lots of the science is too technical for me to comprehend. I’m believing one thing: fat is not an issue (well most fat other than trans fat) and sugar is the actual culprit. I’ll try to mention some references or take away from some of the books that I’ve studied. I just thought I mention it at the outset here as when I’m eating foot, I literally don’t care how much the fat content is.

Health-wise, today was a good day. Ate okay and the workout was fine too. I just added something to my nightly tea mix (I had mentioned the drink in one of the first few posts). My Amazon order of Cayanne Pepper just arrived and I’ve started adding that to my nightly drink. It tastes horrible for me (I really dont care much for the spicy food to begin with) but is supposed to increase the metabolism while sleep. Let’s see.

Nutrition: breakfast: 3 boiled eggs with 2 brown toasts and some coffee, for lunch ate out what was promoted to be pork but tasted like a tree-branch and for dinner… I honestly don’t remember. WTH, just had it 6 hours ago or so (typing this past midnight). As for snack, I had some carrots with hummus, dried almonds, two pieces of dark chocolate and two large rice cracker with peanut butter and honey.

Workout: squat 3×5 @195 lbs (excluding the warmup sets), military-press 3×5 @95 lbs (can do more but am working on progressive overloading), deadlift 1×5 @255 lbs, standing calf-machine 4×8 @190 lbs and dumbbell shrugs 4×8 @60 lbs. Oh and I started the workout with 10 mins of treadmill walk at a small angle.
